About the show:

  WasteExpo is North America’s largest solid waste and recycling trade show. The private and public sector waste community comes together to see, learn, compare and buy/ specify the latest equipment and technology in the industry.

The WasteExpo trade show and conference program includes presentations, seminars and panel sessions about recycling, the trend to "green", management of programs, government mandates and staff, technology trends, safety issues, compliance issues and developing technology. The Global Waste Management Symposium (GWMS) is an opportunity to interact and discuss the needs of the landfill community, within the solid waste and recycling industry. Technical presentations of theoretical and applied research in the solid waste industry bring the "best and brightest" to share with the industry. Presentations are peer reviewed by a technical committee, prior to the GWMS and are available in poster, case study and oral presentation formats. Networking events to provide opportunities for technical interaction and discussion. A broad array of government agencies, waste services companies, industry consultants, vendors & suppliers, plus researchers, and scientific foundations attend the Global Waste Management Symposium.

The WasteExpo in Atlanta has expanded to include the Medical Waste Conference. This show, organized by the Medical Waste Institute, add a new opportunity for exhibitors to attendees networking and discussing the specialized medical waste management issues. This co-located, but stand-alone conference is an professional educational event gathering those effected by the regulatory, legislative, and technical issues specific to the medical waste industry. The Medical Waste Conference is presented by The Medical Waste Institute, a policy-making group of the National Solid Wastes Management Association (NSWMA) and the Waste Equipment Technology Association (WASTEC).
